Streets close off and a river of costumes flows through downtown — clever DIY, elaborate drag, and everything between. Bars spill onto sidewalks, but more of the action happens in the street itself: tents, outdoor bars, open-air setups. You don't have to squeeze into a packed room to be part of it. It's also genuinely low-barrier — you can donate, but nothing stops you from just walking, watching, and soaking it all in.
