Our experience
We avoid going on weekends, when traffic from LA turns it into a parking lot. Mid-week mornings are different: half-empty stores, parking right out front, real deals on a few specific brands we won't name but you'll figure out quickly. We treat it as a 90-minute focused trip, not a day, and we always pair it with lunch at one of the better spots in the area on the way back.
